Sawn and dusted

I have now sawn the entire massively serendipitous hardboard haul into ten painting surfaces each with a short edge of around 60 cm, and I have sanded away the imperfections occasioned by the many staples that held the previous pieces of furniture together. They will not be noticed once painted over. Plenty of material o play with for a good while yet!
The warmer weather meant that a sleeveless t-shirt was required for this work and brought with it the annual reminder that I have a tattoo on the lower part of my left deltoid. If I die speechless, I hope that someone will notice that it is a Cross (scroll down in this post to find it, if you are curious) and will perform the appropriate Christian prayers and ritual. Of my own design (except for the trademark manicules of the tattoo artist herself), it has held up pretty well in the twelve years since my fiftieth birthday. No wrinkles there yet

Bayeza, my dog, went for her monthly weekend away with my dog-sitter friend, who phoned to ask if she could come four hours earlier than arranged. I said she could, although I was in the middle of dusting the very old-fashioned and rusty roller shutter at my front door. It was a good idea; at least my darling canine would be spared the trauma of all the sawing and sawdust I had planned once this task was done.
The day ended with many things out of place, including the house plants. None of this matters, since my dog is not here and does not need a clear path to her bed. Maybe tomorrow I will change all the furniture around completely after I have cleaned away all the settled dust from today’s activities? Who knows? I will have to move all the furniture anyway. So there’s that.
